Figure 1: Reversing the magnetization and polarization of the $BiFeO3/Co0.90Fe0.10$ heterostructure by an electric field pulse. $P$ and $MC$ denote the polarization and the canted magnetization of the $BiFeO3$ film in relation to the ($111$) plane of the respective ferroelectric domain. $M$ denotes the magnetization of the corresponding $Co0.90Fe0.10$ domain. $Pnet∥$, and $Mnet∥$, indicate the in-plane component of the net polarization and magnetization of the heterostructure when averaging across the domains. The reversal between the structures in (a) and (b) is achieved by applying the electric field pulse $E$ as shown.
