Dung-Hai Lee

Dung-Hai Lee obtained his B.S. degree from Tsinghua University in Taiwan. He completed his Ph.D. in Physics (1977–1982) and a first post-doc (1982–1984) at MIT. He did further post-doctoral work at the IBM T. J. Watson research center (1983–1985), where he remained as a Research Staff Member until 1994. Since 1994, he has been a professor in the Physics Department of the University of California, Berkeley. Dung-Hai Lee’s main research interest is in strongly correlated many-particle systems. He has contributed to the fields of magnetism and superconductivity and the study of quantum Hall systems and classical and quantum phase transitions. His current interest is in the physics of novel superconductors and topological states in condensed matter systems.
