Gil Holder is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at McGill University and is the Canada Research Chair in Cosmological Astrophysics. He completed his Ph.D. in astronomy and astrophysics at the University of Chicago in 2001, going on to do postdoctoral studies at the Institute for Advanced Study, New Jersey, and at the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics, Toronto.
