Hendrick L. Bethlem

Hendrick Bethlem graduated from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam in 1997, and completed his Ph.D. at the Radboud University in Nijmegen in 2002. Following post-doctoral research at Imperial College London he became a group leader at the Fritz-Haber-Institut der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft in Berlin. In 2005 he returned to the Vrije University. His research interests include the manipulation of molecules by electric fields and the use of cold molecules for precision tests. His work is funded by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) via a VIDI-grant and by the European Research Council via a Starting Grant.
