Martin Landrø received an M.S. (1983) and Ph.D. (1986) in physics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He worked at SERES A/S, at IKU Petroleum Research, and at Statoil’s research center in Trondheim. Since 1998, Landrø has been a professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, in the Department of Petroleum Engineering and Applied Geophysics. He is the recipient of the Norman Falcon award, the Norwegian Geophysical award, and the Eni award (New Frontiers in Hydrocarbons). He also received the SINTEF award for outstanding pedagogical activity in 2009. Landrø’s research interests include seismic inversion, marine seismic acquisition, and geophysical monitoring of COstorage. He is a member of EAGE, SEG, The Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences, and The Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters.
