Physics will host two broadly accessible sessions at the APS March Meeting.
On Tuesday, March 16, a session on “Communication: A Key to the Progress of Physics” will bring together Marissa Giustina (Google Quantum AI), Karl Ziemelis (Nature), Natalie Wolchover (Quanta Magazine) and Sean Carroll (Caltech) to talk about effective cross-field communication.
On Thursday, March 18, we’ll host a Movie Night with The Bit Player, a film about Claude Shannon, the “father of information theory.” A Q&A with director Mark Levinson (known for the Particle Fever documentary on the Higgs boson discovery) will follow.
