Andy Schofield graduated from the University of Cambridge in 1989 with a B.A. and in 1993 with a Ph.D. He was a postdoc at Rutgers, NJ (1994–1996), a Royal Society University Research Fellow at Cambridge, and moved to the University of Birmingham in 1999 where he is now Professor of Theoretical Physics. His research interests are in the theory of strongly correlated quantum systems.
