Akshit Goyal is a faculty member in biological physics at the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences in India. He is interested in understanding the collective dynamics of evolving ecosystems using tools from dynamical systems, nonequilibrium statistical physics, data assimilation, and information theory. He received his BSc (Honors) in physics at St. Stephen’s College of Delhi University and his PhD in biophysics at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, India. He was then a Physics of Living Systems postdoctoral fellow at MIT.
