Alessandro Zavatta is currently a staff research physicist at the Istituto Nazionale di Ottica (INO)–CNR, in Sesto Fiorentino, Florence, Italy. He received a laurea degree in physics from the University of Bologna in 1999 and a Ph.D. from the University of Florence in 2003. His research activity has mainly focused on experimental quantum optics, in particular on the generation, manipulation, and characterization of quantum states of light.
