Alexandre Reily Rocha obtained his Ph.D. in 2007 from Trinity College Dublin. In 2007, he returned to Brazil, first as a postdoctoral fellow at Universidade de São Paulo. In 2008, he became a Professor at Universidade Federal do ABC. Later in that same year, he was chosen as a Young Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. In June 2012, he moved to the Theoretical Physics Institute at Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), where he is now based. He is interested in simulations of electronic and transport properties of nanoscopic systems (more information can be found at http://www.ift.unesp.br/users/reilya).
