Aziza Almanakly

Aziza Almanakly received her PhD in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at MIT and will join the faculty of electrical and computer engineering at New York University as an assistant professor in September 2026. Her research focuses on engineering and controlling quantum systems of superconducting circuits, with an emphasis on microwave quantum optics and communication. Almanakly’s research aims to advance the field of quantum optics in order to expand the potential of quantum information technology.
