Catherine Heymans is a Reader in Astrophysics at the University of Edinburgh, a European Research Council Fellow, and a member of the Young Academy of Scotland. Since completing her Ph.D. at Oxford University in 2003, Catherine has held fellowships from the Max Planck Institute and the Canadian Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics. When she is not busy co-organizing the weak lensing analysis of the ESO KiDS survey or enthusiastically lecturing undergraduates, she can usually be found building sandcastles and paddling in the sea with her three small children.
