Enrique Solano is Ikerbasque professor at Universidad del PaĆs Vasco, Bilbao, Spain. His research group deals with interdisciplinary theoretical topics in quantum technologies, combining quantum optics, quantum information, and superconducting quantum circuits. In particular, his group is leading influential research in quantum simulations of relativistic quantum systems in trapped ions, as well as in the ultrastrong and deep strong coupling regimes of the quantum Rabi model in quantum optics and circuit quantum electrodynamics.

The dialogue between quantum light and matter

Although the quantum Rabi model is the simplest model describing the coupling of quantum light and matter, only now has an analytical solution been found. Read More »
