Evangelia Takou is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Physics at Virginia Tech. Prior to joining Virginia Tech, she obtained a master’s degree in condensed-matter physics and atomic physics in 2019 and an undergraduate degree in physics in 2018 at the University of Crete in Greece. In the second year of her Ph.D. studies, she was awarded the Ray F. Tipsword graduate scholarship. She was also selected to receive a competitive graduate school doctoral assistantship from the College of Science at Virginia Tech. Currently, she is working on theoretical protocols for the control of qubits based on color centers.
