Filomena Nunes is a physics professor at Michigan State University. Her research focuses on the theory of nuclear reactions, especially those that involve rare isotopes. She conducts research at the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams, also at Michigan State. She received her PhD in theoretical physics from the University of Surrey in the UK.
