François Rincon is an astrophysicist at the French National Centre for Research (CNRS) and works at the Institut de Recherche en Astrophysique et Planétologie (IRAP), France. His research is on turbulent magnetized fluid and plasma processes in a variety of astrophysical systems ranging from the Sun to accretion disks and galaxy clusters. His work combines analytical and numerical modeling approaches with observational analysis across a wide interdisciplinary range. After studying physics at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, France, he received his PhD from the University of Toulouse, France, and worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Cambridge, UK.
