Gary T. Horowitz

Gary T. Horowitz is a Distinguished Professor of Physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a theoretical gravitational physicist exploring quantum gravity and gravitational aspects of string theory. Professor Horowitz is a fellow of the American Physical Society, and a member of both the National Academy of Science and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.  He is the current President of the International Society on General Relativity and Gravitation. In 2009 he was recognized as an Outstanding Referee by the American Physical Society. More information is available at web.physics.ucsb.edu/~gary.
