Geoffroy Lesur is a French National Research Center (CNRS) professor at the Institute of Planetology and Astrophysics of Grenoble, University of Grenoble-Alpes. After earning a bachelor’s degree at ENS Lyon, France, he obtained his Ph.D. at Joseph Fourier University, Grenoble, France, in 2007, followed by a postdoctoral research assistant position at the University of Cambridge, UK. He works on magneto-hydrodynamic models of astrophysical flows—such as protoplanetary disks, cataclysmic variables, and jets—using a combination of analytical approaches, supercomputer simulations, and high-resolution observations.
