Georg Engelhardt is a postdoctoral researcher at the Beijing Computational Science Research Center. He received his Ph.D. from the Technical University of Berlin. His research investigates generic quantum control methods for open quantum systems with a focus on periodically driven systems. Additionally, he has developed control protocols applicable to quantum phase transitions, topological phase transitions, quantum transport, and spectroscopy.

A Classical View of Quantum Time Crystals

Numerical studies indicate that certain types of time crystals might be described using classical physics—a result that could vastly simplify the theoretical description of these systems. Read More »
