Gian G. Guzmán-Verri

Gian G. Guzmán-Verri is a professor of physics at the University of Costa Rica. He received his PhD in physics from the University of California, Riverside, in 2012 and was a postdoctoral researcher at Argonne National Laboratory in Illinois from 2013 to 2014. He was a visiting by-fellow at Churchill College at the University of Cambridge in the UK in 2018 and 2024. His research focuses on condensed-matter theory, particularly phase transitions, strain effects, and collective behavior in complex materials.
