Heba EL-Deghaidy is a Professor of science education at the American University in Cairo, Egypt. She is a tenured faculty member and leads the university’s STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics) education initiative. She received her Ph.D. in science education from the University of Birmingham, UK. EL-Deghaidy coined the term STE2AM, for education initiatives that integrate STEAM and sustainable development. She also developed and presented the first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) in Arabic for STEAM education. EL-Deghaidy recently published the book “STEM in Science Education and S in STEM: From Pedagogy to Learning”.
