John B. DeBrota received his PhD in applied physics from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2020. He held postdoctoral positions at Tufts University in Massachusetts from 2020 to 2022 and at the Center for Quantum Information and Control at the University of New Mexico from 2022 to 2025. He is now a postdoctoral researcher at the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy at Ludwig Maximilian University Munich. His research focuses on QBism, an interpretation of quantum mechanics that takes an agent’s actions and experiences as the central concerns of the theory. In his work, he develops the QBist position and explores its technical consequences through probabilistic reformulations and reconstructions of the structure of quantum theory.
