Joseph C. Chapman received a BS degree in physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2016 and a PhD in physics in 2020 from the same institution with his thesis focused on optical quantum communication. Currently, his research at the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee focuses on fiber-based quantum network development.
