After several years at Caltech and the University of Aarhus in Denmark, Karlheinz Langanke now heads the Research Division at GSI and is Professor for Theoretical Physics at the Technical University of Darmstadt. His research interests are in low-energy nuclear physics and nuclear astrophysics.
