Laura Baudis is a professor in the Department of Physics of the University of Zurich. Her research focuses on developing detectors for the direct detection of dark matter particles and for neutrino physics. In particular, she is interested in the fundamental nature of dark matter and in the properties of neutrinos. She received her PhD from the University of Heidelberg, Germany. She is a member of the Academy of Sciences and Literature, Mainz, Germany, and she received the 2022 Charpak-Ritz Prize from the French and Swiss Physical Societies.

Probing Majorana Neutrinos

Detecting neutrinoless double-beta decay would confirm that the neutrino is its own antiparticle. Data from the KamLAND-Zen experiment contain no strong evidence of such events, constraining neutrino properties. Read More »
