Reyes Calvo is a GenT research associate professor in the Applied Physics Department of the University of Alicante, Spain, where she is head of the Quantum 2D Materials laboratory. Her current research revolves around different electronic, magnetic, and optical properties of 2D semiconductors. During postdoctoral stays at University College London and Stanford University, she worked on the study of single magnetic impurities and electronic properties of quantum materials, respectively. As a research fellow at CIC nanoGUNE, Spain, she continued to work along those lines and developed an interest in the properties of 2D materials.
