Patrick Achenbach

Patrick Achenbach is the leader of Experimental Hall B at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (JLab) in Virginia. He studied physics and mathematics at the Justus Liebig University Giessen and earned his PhD at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, both in Germany. He was postdoctoral researcher in neutrino physics at the University of Oxford. His work is focused on electron-beam experiments addressing questions of hadron physics at the Mainz Microtron accelerator and at JLab. He is a member of the Program Advisory Committee for the Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex and is a professor at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
