Simeon Bird is a professor at the University of California, Riverside. He received his Ph.D. in 2012 from the University of Cambridge, UK, and then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, and at Johns Hopkins University in Maryland. While at Johns Hopkins, he published a paper suggesting that LIGO could have detected dark matter.
