Simon Benjamin is the Professor of Quantum Technologies at Materials Department in the University of Oxford, and an Associate Director of the Oxford-led UK National Hub on Networked Quantum Information Technologies (NQIT). He has been a Visiting Professor at the Centre for Quantum Technologies in Singapore, and is currently a visiting researcher at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. In Oxford, he leads the Quantum and Nanotechnology Theory group (QuNaT.org), a team of applied theorists designing a new generation of technologies based on harnessing quantum effects to outperform conventional computers. Professor Benjamin also serves on the editorial board of the journal Proceedings of the Royal Society A.
