Professor Stefan Kuhr is Head of the Optics Division at the University of Strathclyde and an expert in experimental cold-atom physics. Important areas of his research are single-atom detection in optical lattices using quantum-gas microscopes and quantum-nondemolition photon measurement. He was a recipient of an ERC Starting Grant and he is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics.
