Steinn Sigurðsson is a Professor in the Department of  Astronomy & Astrophysics at The Pennsylvania State University. He received his Ph.D. in 1992 from the California Institute of Technology and completed postdoctoral fellowships at the University of California at Santa Cruz and Cambridge University.  He does research in theoretical astrophysics. He is a Science Editor of The Astrophysical Journal.
