Tomáš Čižmár is a research fellow in Medical Photonics at the School of Medicine, University of St Andrews. He is involved in a variety of interdisciplinary projects, mostly related to optical manipulation, specialized holography, microscopy, and cell biology. Amongst other activities, his research projects cover fundamental studies of laser propagation in complex and random media, light interactions with colloidal ensembles, and biological matter, development of complex experimental systems for optical manipulations, imaging and nanosurgery or highly specialized applications in cell biology research.
