Zoë Ayres is an analytical scientist, with an undergraduate degree in Forensic Science, a masters in analytical chemistry, and a Ph.D. in electrochemical sensor development from the University of Warwick, UK. After her Ph.D. she spent several years in academia before moving to industry and is now a research scientist in the water industry. Ayres is also a mental health advocate, working towards improving mental health in research settings, primarily focusing on graduate student mental health. She raises awareness of the issues academics face through campaigns and initiatives and is the author of the #mentalhealth poster series on Twitter.
