Andreas Tilgner

Andreas Tilgner is a professor of physics at the University of Göttingen. After receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Grenoble in 1991, he held postdoctoral positions at Princeton University and the University of Bayreuth. He has worked at the Institute of Geophysics in Göttingen since 2001. His major research interests are connected with geophysical fluid dynamics and include magnetohydrodynamics, the dynamo effect, turbulence, and instabilities.
