Ellen Zweibel is the William L. Kraushaar Professor of Astronomy and Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned an A.B. in mathematics from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. in astrophysical sciences from Princeton University. In addition to running a broad research program in plasma astrophysics, she is the director of the Center for Magnetic Self-Organization.
