Marco Bellini graduated and received his Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Florence, Italy. He later joined the European Laboratory for Nonlinear Spectroscopy (LENS), and he is now a Senior Researcher at the Istituto Nazionale di Ottica (INO)–CNR, in Sesto Fiorentino, Florence, Italy. He coordinates two experimental research groups mainly devoted to quantum optics and to laser–matter interactions at very high intensities. His research tools range from single photons to high-order harmonic pulses in the extreme ultraviolet.
