Marco Lucamarini obtained his master’s degree and Ph.D. in physics at the University of Rome “Sapienza” in 2000 and 2004, respectively. In 2005, he joined the Department of Physics at the University of Camerino, where he conducted postdoctoral research on quantum communication protocols. Since 2012, he has been with Toshiba Research Europe in Cambridge, UK, where he works as a Senior Research Scientist on the secure implementation of quantum key distribution systems.
