Marina Pivetta is a postdoctoral researcher at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. She graduated from the Università di Trieste, Italy, in 1998 and obtained a Ph.D. from the Université de Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2003. After receiving a Humboldt fellowship grant for a research stay at the Technische Universität München, Germany, she moved back to Lausanne in 2007. Her current work focuses on the physical and chemical properties of surfaces and supported nanostructures.
