Alexey Soluyanov obtained his B.S. and M.S. diplomas in the department of physics at St Petersburg State University. In 2012, he obtained his Ph.D. at Rutgers University under the supervision of Professor David Vanderbilt. After that, he went to ETH Zurich for a postdoc in the group of Professor Matthias Troyer. Currently, he holds a senior postdoc position at ETH Zurich and Station Q Zurich, and he holds an associate position of senior researcher at St Petersburg State University.
