Tony Short is a theoretical physicist at the University of Bristol in the UK, working on foundational aspects of quantum theory and quantum information. After his Ph.D. at the University of Oxford in 2004, Tony worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Bristol, before being awarded a Royal Society University Research Fellowship at the University of Cambridge in 2007. He moved back to Bristol in 2012, and he is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Quantum Information and Foundations group. Tony's recent research focuses on quantum thermodynamics and causality.
