Anupam Sengupta is a professor of biophysics at the University of Luxembourg, where he heads the Physics of Living Matter Group and serves as director of the Bachelor of Physics program. In 2013, he obtained his Ph.D. in condensed-matter physics for his work on liquid-crystal microfluidics at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization in Germany. From 2014 to 2017 he worked on microbial biophysics, first at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and then at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.
