Claire Michel completed her PhD in 2009 at the University of Nice, France. She then held a postdoctoral position at the Carnot de Bourgogne Interdisciplinary Laboratory, France, during which she specialized in nonlinear statistical optics and wave turbulence. Since 2011, she has been an associate professor at the Nice Institute of Physics of Côte d’Azur University, France. Her main research topics include fluids of light in propagating geometries, wave turbulence, optical condensation, and thermalization.
