Francesco Di Colandrea is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Ottawa, Canada, where his research focuses on topological photonics and quantum simulations with structured light. His research interests also include quantum sensing and the application of machine-learning techniques to optical experiments. He completed his PhD in the Physics of Structured Light and Matter group at the University of Naples Federico II, Italy, with a thesis on spin-orbit photonics for quantum simulations with structured light. He continued at Naples as a research assistant before moving to Ottawa.
