Gabriel Durkin is currently a visiting scholar at the University of California, in the Berkeley Quantum Information and Computation Center. He received his D.Phil. from the University of Oxford in 2005, after which he took on a NASA postdoctoral fellowship and National Academies associateship at Caltech’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. For six years he was the coordinator of the Quantum Laboratory at NASA Ames Research Center. His research interests include quantum metrology in noisy real-world environments and developing driven nonlinear quantum systems as a resource for quantum information.
