Igor Aranson

Igor Aranson is a Senior Scientist in the Materials Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory. He recieived his Ph.D. in physics in 1987 from the Institute for Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. His research interests cover a broad range of areas, from soft matter and biophysics to condensed matter. Among his publications are two influential review papers in the Reviews of Modern Physics (2002 and 2006) and a monograph Granular Patterns ( Oxford University Press, 2009). He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society (2002).
