Jeffery C. Chancellor is an assistant professor of physics at Louisiana State University and also holds adjunct appointments at the Department of Preventive Medicine and Population Health at the University of Texas Medical Branch and the Outer Space Institute at the University of British Columbia, Canada. His research interests focus on applications of how heavy-ion radiation interacts with soft and condensed matter for manned spaceflight vehicle structure, shielding, and clinical healthcare. He is the founder and CTO of Atlantis Industries, which develops technologies for shielding humans, space systems, and microelectronics from the ionizing radiation hazards inherent to space travel.
