Joel Marthelot is a researcher at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) at Aix-Marseille University, Institut Universitaire des Systèmes Thermiques Industriels (IUSTI) in France. He completed his Ph.D. at Pierre and Marie Curie University, France, and was then a postdoctoral associate at the Massachussetts Institute of Technology and at Princeton University. He joined the CNRS in 2019. His research interests include the mechanics of slender structures, fluid-structure interactions, and biomechanics.
