Julien Roche is an associate professor in the Department of Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology at Iowa State University. His research focuses on the thermodynamics of proteins, with particular emphasis on protein–protein and protein–DNA interactions, as well as intrinsically disordered proteins. The Roche lab integrates experimental techniques, primarily solution NMR spectroscopy, with computational methods to explore these areas. Roche earned his PhD in biophysics from the University of Montpellier, France, before joining the laboratory of Adriaan Bax at the National Institutes of Health in Maryland as a postdoctoral fellow in 2012.
