Patrick Pietzonka is a theoretical physicist working in the field of statistical physics. He did his undergraduate studies and obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, with an experimental research stay at the University of Barcelona, Spain. In 2018, he moved on to the University of Cambridge, UK, where he is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics and a junior research fellow at Corpus Christi College. The focus of his research is on active matter and stochastic thermodynamics.

Thermodynamic Limits to Anomalous Diffusion

Thermodynamics sets constraints on the time window over which anomalous diffusion can occur—a finding that may be relevant to the study of diffusion-controlled cellular processes. Read More »
