Ramón Aguado received his Ph.D. from the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid. After postdoc positions at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and Rutgers University in the US, he held a “Ramón y Cajal” research fellow position at the Materials Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM). Since 2009, he has worked at ICMM as a Senior Scientist of the Spanish Research Council (CSIC). His main research interests are in condensed matter theory with a focus on quantum transport, strong correlations, and topological materials. In 2016 he was recognized as an Outstanding Referee by the American Physical Society.
